Antelope Upper Canyon & Horse Shoe Bent, Arizona
Well...It's me, Alien.
Art by water and wind.
Alien left Zion National Park and headed to Page, Arizona.
Alien came to Page for visiting Anterope Canyon.
Anterope Canyon is in a Native American's autonomous area, so visitors can go there only by tours.
Therefore, Alien went to a tour company.
Wow all tour tickets were sold out.
Alien could have a ticket, because Alien made a reservation online in advance.
They offer several kinds of tours, such as: Tours for sightseeing and tours for photographers.
Photo tours are only for those who bring a single-lens reflex camera.
Alien booked the sightseeing one this time.
This Jeep will take Alien and other visitors to Antelope Upper Canyon.
...It must be windly and cold.
The guide came on time. Let's ride on the Jeep and go!
The Jeep ran through the rocky desert. The road wasn't paved, and it was shaky.
Alien got to the Antelope Upper Canyon entrance, in 10 minutes on the Jeep.
The guide gave Alien several lists of not to do.
Okay, let's go to the inside of the rock!
Inside.
The rocks, shaved by water and wind, reflect light from the sun.
Spectacular.
Alien follwed the guide and walked into the back.
How beautiful!
Alien can't believe such a beautiful space exists between rocks.
Alien could see the texture of the rock.
Wow... speechless.
On top of Alien's head.
Fantastic color gradation.
Alien got outside of the rock.
Alien then walked back to the entrance.
Alien could see surface of the rock clearly under the sun light.
Breathtaking.
The tour was very busy.
Alien wish Alien had more time there. Well, tours are the only way to get there so it would be difficult.
The Jeep took Alien back to Page.
Alien next drove to see Hourse Shoe Bent.
Horse Shoe Bent was a10-minute drive from Page.
Alien parked Alien's (rent-a) car in a parking lot nearby. Let's walk.
A panoramic view on the way to Horse Shoe Bent.
This is Horse Shoe Bent!
It does look like a horse shoe.
The best time to see the bent is before noon, with nicely angled light from the sun.
There is no fence.
If you slip, you would fall out. Watch out!
Don't worry, Alien wore a safety rope.
Where is the safety rope connected to...?
...That's one of the Seven Wonders of Alien.
