Chicago & Allegiance (Broadway musicals) New York
Well...It's me, Alien.
Alien in Times Square.
Alien flew to New York.
Safety belt fasten.
Alien arrived.
Let's go.
Alien came to NYC to see Broadway musicals.
Alien decided to see "Chicago" first.
Alien watched the movie "Chicago" before but haven't seen the musical.
This is the longest-running American musical on Broadway.
Sexy.
The show was starring Eddie George, a former NFL player, when Alien visited in February 2016.
A former NFL player became an actor? He must be super talented.
。
Let's get in.
Luxury.
Beer venders sell beverages but a bottle of water costs $3.
They don't have security like airports so you may better bring your bottle of water for saving.
Alien's seat was Orchestra 101.
Alien bought the ticket at TKTS.
The back seat on the first floor was $71.50.
Alien did enjoy the show but a better seat would be a much greater experience.
You can buy a discounted ticket at box office in the theater if there are tickets available.
The curtain rises.
Songs and acts with the live jazz band.
So cool!
All casts were great. No casts bawled or raised their voices. Carrying voices and confident performances.
Mr. George's performance was great too, as great as other casts.
Alien especially liked the actor who played Roxie's husband. He performed a sense of sorrow very well.
This must be a long-run show! Totally recommended.
Alien went to see Allegiance next day.
This is a unique musical featuring the Japanese American incarceration during World War II.
Alien flew to NYC to see this show.
This musical is already closed.
The sign sounds sarcasm to Mr. Trump, a top presidential candidate of GOP whose racist comments are often reported.
George Takei, the founder as well as a main cast of this show, reserved a VIP seat for Ms. Trump in every show but Mr. Trump never showed up.
Let's get in.
Luxury.
Alien booked a ticket online.
The front seat!
It was $139.
The stage is just there.
Very close.
Alien could see the orchestra beneath the stage.
Looking forward to their live-music.
The curtain rises.
The performance seeing at the front seat was very powerful.
No regret to buy this ticket.
Although this show is based on the historical event, it was created for entertainment, and Alien really enjoyed it. This show was very moving too.
Alien know details of the Japanese American incarceration history for some reason, and Alien find some parts are a bit different from the historical study Alien know.
However, Alien think this show is significant for telling the dark part of the US history which isn't often discussed.
This show would be particularly important in today's America, where racism is openly discussed as a huge social issue. This show shouldn't close!
Alien bought a CD recorded by Broadway original casts. Alien can be moved again and again with it!
Alien got outside and found a crowd.
Let's see.
Wow some casts show up. They sign and take photos with audiences.
Ha!
Let's ask signs on the CD Alien just bought.
Alien raise Alien's hand and waved the CD. Please find Alien!
Here he came!!!
Alien got his signature!
Alien also asked photos.
Mr. Telly Leung, playing Sam (Isamu) Kimura.
Cute and nice-looking.
Mr. Greg Watanabe, playing Mike Masaoka.
His role is very serious but he is a very funny guy.
Ms. Kaite Rose Clarke, playing Hannah Campbell.
Alien got nervous for her beauty!
Mr. Christopheren Nomura, playing Sam's dad.
Cute smiling face.
Ms. Janelle Toyomi Dote, playing Ms. Tanaka (Sorry if Alien put a wrong name here).
Very nice and charming.
Alien couldn't see Mr. George Takei but was happy to interact with many other casts.
Alien got many signatures by many casts (including those who couldn't take ph0tos with).
Alien did enjoy Broadway.
Alien need to brush up Alien's skills for Alien's debut on Broadway.
Let's train Alien 's vocal with this CD.
