The Gateway Arch St. Louis, Missori
Well...It's me, Alien.
Alien wanted to travel so badly...
So Alien went to St.Louis, Missori!
It was a 6-hour drive from Milwaukee.
Alien went to the Gateway Arch, a symbol of St. Louis city.
Very tall.
Visitors wrote their names and messages on the arch...
Alien respect art works and never do such thing.
Visitors can get the top for $10.
Let's go!
Trams take visitors to the top.
Alien waited for a while to get a ride.
The door opened! Very narrow space welcomed Alien.
Like a spaceship.
A tram was for 5 passangers, but Alien could use the entire tram since it wasn't busy.
Excited.
The tram started move when Alien was on board.
Alien could look at inside of the Gateway Arch from the window.
The tram rose fast.
Alien got to the top!
Alien could look outside from small windows.
Very high.
Alien looked at the city of St. Louis.
A bit scary.
There is a museum under the Gateway Arch.
West Ward Expansion museum.
The Gateway Arch is part of Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. Therefore, a museum there celebrates West Ward Expansion.
Well... Alien think history of west ward expansion equals with history of invasion in Native Americans' territories. Alien wonder if the word "expansion" is appropriate.
Dates are inscribed on the roofs.
Visitors can see displays about newer events by getting to the rear.
That's an interesting way of displaying history.
Alien found displays about Native Americans' history and culture.
Alien got interested in the panel that was displayed on the very low position.
It was a voice from a Native American who lost everything by west ward "expansion."
Alien think it should be displayed on a better place. It was very hard to read.
Alien wen to St. Lousi to escape from cold Wisconsin. However....St. Louis was also cold due to a cold wave. It was snowing! Alien drove 6 hours to get to a warmer place...
It was a nice place, but Alien recomend to visit there in summer.
