Let's go to the universe.

Alien visited Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, a very popular place in DC.

f:id:alientravel:20160531042005j:plain

Alien arrived there 30 minutes before door opens but there was a long wait line.

Smithonian's museums are free admission but this museum has a security gate, which was like ones at airports, at its entrace.

Alien saw many airplans in the museum.

How can airplanes fly?

They have so many airplans but Alien am more interested in space!

Let's watch Journey to Space at IMAZ theater.

$9 for a ticket.

It was like a large movie theater.

Let's experience the universe with 3D glasses!

Alien learned the history of US space project by the spectacular movie.

Alien got more interested in space. Let's go to see exhibitions.

This is a moon rock.

There was a moon rock visitors can touch.

Apollo 11 Command Module.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041842j:plain

The Apollo Project made men landed on the moon for the first time.

Amazing passion and work.

Due to the cost of spaceship which was not reusable, space shuttle were invented and created.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041833j:plain

This chart summarizes how long and how many missions each space shuttle served.

This is a model of space shuttle Columbia.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041828j:plain

Columbia disaster killed seven crew members.

It is still hard to go to the universe.

The toys went to and came back from space.

Space programs and international politics on earth can't be separeted.

There is a plenty of other exhibits. It can take a full day to see everything.

However, no space ship is shown here. Discovery is located at a museum near the DC airport.

There are so many museums in DC.

Here is another museum Alien visited.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041912j:plain

National Museum of the American Indian.

This is another Smithsonian's museum and free.

A large open space and less visitors compared to the Air & Space museum.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041916j:plain

Nice quite place to see artworks.

There was a space that imitate their house.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041930j:plain

Grilled.

The museum has a plenty of other exhibitions.

It is interesting that perspectives from two different sides are juxtaposed.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041956j:plain

Same event, completely different experiences.

This is an artwork Alien got very interested in.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041939j:plain

This used to be their communication tool. They communicated via the number of knots.

Preserving memory not by language. Very interesting.

This is a photo of a festival.

f:id:alientravel:20160531041953j:plain
