Alien went to Aomori for some reason.
Alien arrived at Shin-Aomori station by Shinkansen. Then Alien went to Aomori station by local train.
Let's eat something local.

Aomori loves Nebuta!
Alien went to a restaurant called Osanai. It was close to Aomori station.
This place's speciality is scallops.
A lot of nice options. Hard to decide...
Well, Alien decided to eat scallops dishes. Aomori is famous for scallops.
This is scallops with miso on a shell.
Sea urchin on top.
It was light miso taste. Pieces of fresh scallops in it.
This is deep-fried scallops set.
Lightly-cooked scallops were yum yum!
Alien prefer more crispy batter, but scallops may be overcooked if the cheif cook them more.
Alien was happy with the dishes.

Aomori is famous for apples.
Alien found an apple pie place in the Asupamu.

Their apple pies are from scratch.

That must be only in Aomori. Let's try.

Huuu it is basically vanilla tasate but its finish is scallop.

Alien went to Asamushi onsen(hot spring) by train, about 25-minute ride from Aomori station.

Well, local mascots are anywhere in Japan.

Alien came to Kaisenkaku, a hotel opens its public bath for visitors. About 5-minute walk from Asamushi station.
This place has the largest public bath in Asamushi onsen.
Alien am neither man nor woman. Today Alien need to use women's bath for some reason.
Let's take scallop smell off.
Alien didn't take photos in the bath.
Alien don't mind to publish Alien's rude, but Alien can't take photos of naked ladies there.
There are hot bath, warm bath, and outside bath. Alien liked this place.
Alien am hungry now.

Alien found a small restaurant at seaside. About 15-minute walk from Asamushi station.
Fisherman's place Madadate restaurant.
Many living scallops, awabi clams (abalone), and sea urchins in the tub.
They mush be fresh!
He is a poster parrot.
He says "Hello" only to foreign visitors. He said nothing to Alien though.

So many kinds of dishes in this small restaurant.
Alien first ordered a grilled sazae (turbo comutus/horned turban).
This is Alien's first experience of sazae.
Huuuu... the liver part is very bitter. The body part is firm and crunchy.
This must be so good for sazae lovers. It wasn't Alien's taste though.
This is scallop sashimi set.
Huge!

Plenty of sashimi. Very thick and fresh. Yum yum yum!
The grilled scallop is fresh and flavorful. Yum yum.
Alien can't have that quality of scallops with this price in Tokyo. Never in Milwaukee.
Alien really enjoyed scallops in Aomori.
…Well, Alien want to take another bath before going home.
