Well...It's me, Alien.
Alien went to Chicago to meet new ramen.
Alien fouond a sign written in Japanese in downtown.
It's name sounds somewhat cute.
Excited to eat ramen.
Alien got a table. Let's look at the memu.
Huuu "spicy miso ramen" and "tonkotsu ramen" sound like Japane ramen. Let's order the two.
Additional spices are on the table.
The bottle of pepper says "Marco polo" in Japanese.
Alien enjoyed looking the interior.
Then, Alien's ramen bowls came!
Spicy miso ramen, $15
It is differnt from Japanese miso ramen. Pepper and Chinese papper are strong.
Taste of broth is weak. The noodles are thin, too soft and difficult to ravel.
Oops the spices make Alien very critical.
Alien understand the location (Chicago downtown) makes everything pricey, but it is still expensive for the quality... Alien think.
Well, let's have Tonkotsu ramen. $14.
It is closer to Japanese ramen than spicy miso.
Broth is still weak, but the creamy soup and the thin noodles go well.
The char siu pork melts in Alien's mouth. Good, but its harbs flavor doesn't match with the ramen, Alien think. The egg is soft and yum yum.
This ramen place is very fansy with low lighting and a bar counter.
Am Alien out of place?
